Staycation 2013

We stayed in town for spring break this year.  One day we did take the train downtown and spent the day.
Our first stop was the Church History Museum that has a play area for kids.

Sister loved it, brother was a little underwhelmed.  I would like to try and make a trip or two up here with just the two of us after brother is in school (sad).
While we were at the museum we walked past a picture of Jesus and sister said "Jesus resurrected!"  I was happy to know our focus at home on the meaning of Easter was sinking in. (On a side note, my mom has said that people were often confused on my age because I had such a small body, but a large vocabulary.  Sister and I do have something in common!)

We had lunch at Temple Square and admired the beautiful flowers.

A fountain which I think is at City Creek, but I could be wrong.
We finished our day with a stop up at campus.  Working at the U has been a big blessing for us.  Hubby received a job offer from the campus central business intelligence department and while he was sad to leave admissions he has really loved his new job.

This is Matteo, our friend and the person who hired hubby giving a little thank you speech.
A cake that I was too slow to get a picture of......
 Hubby saying some words.
